What is the Tafseer and Quran translation course?
Tafseer is the explanation of the Quran. Starting with the surahs you recite every day, your tutor explains the translation word by word, the context of revelation and the lessons for daily life. You ask your own questions in a 1-on-1 setting, in English or Dutch.

Tafseer course questions
Do I need to know Arabic for Tafseer?
No. Everything is explained in English or Dutch. Being able to read the Arabic text helps, but it is not required.
Which Tafseer books do you use?
Lessons are based on well-known classical works such as Tafseer Ibn Kathir, explained in simple language.
Can I choose which surahs to study?
Yes. Because lessons are 1-on-1 you can ask for specific surahs or themes, and your tutor adjusts the plan.
Can I combine Tafseer with Hifz or Tajweed?
Yes. Many students take a longer lesson and split it, for example 30 minutes Hifz and 15 minutes Tafseer.
